Shawn Shivnen
President & Founder

Shawn Shivnen joined Phi Sigma Kappa in November of 1997.  He went on to become President and finally Inductor during his undergraduate years.  He graduated in 2000 with a teaching degree and went back to EMU to earn his Master’s degree in Public Administration and his Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.  

Shawn founded our alumni association in 2002 and has been president since the inception of our association.  He currently serves on the Grand Chapter scholarship committee and was the first member from Eastern Michigan elected to our Grand Council.  Shawn is currently an Economics teacher and contract negotiator in Romulus, MI.


 

Nicholas Raubenolt
Vice President

Nick Raubenolt joined Phi Sigma Kappa in December of 2000. He went onto become Recruitment Chair, Vice President and President during his undergraduate years. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.A. in Communications and Marketing. 

Nick began volunteering as a Regional Counselor in 2007 and became 4th degree in 2008. He  took over chapter advisor duties in 2013. Nick also serves as Vice President of the Alumni Association and is a Phi Sigma Kappa Foundation Trustee. Nick currently is the Talent Acquisition Manager for University Bank in Ann Arbor.


 

Matthew Pelc
Alumni Club Director & Treasurer

Matt Pelc joined Phi Sigma Kappa in Fall 1998. He immediately became chapter historian and served on a number of committees in his first semester as an active, and was elected secretary at the next elections. Matt also served an inductor before graduating in 2002.

Shortly after graduation, Matt and Shawn Shivnen worked together to establish the Phi Sigma Kappa Epsilon Lambda Alumni Association. From those humble beginnings, the alumni association has become one of the most active and decorated alumni groups in all of Phi Sigma Kappa.

Matt lives in St. Cloud Fla. with his wife and children.  He works as a freelance writer and sports blogger.


 

Travis Armbruster
Alumni Club Director & Officer at Large

Travis Armbruster joined Phi Sigma Kappa in April 2001 and went on to become the chapter Secretary, Vice President and finally Treasurer.  He currently works as an Project and Account Manager for an IT Consulting company in Metro Detroit, as well as maintaining this website, EpsilonLambda.net.


 

Alex Ridenour
Alumni Club Director & Secretary

Alex joined Epsilon Lambda Chapter in the fall of 2010. Within his first year he became president of the chapter. During that time he was able to take the chapter into a great direction. They earned multiple awards from EMU and the National Chapter for the work that was done. 

Other than Chapter of the Year from EMU, the Chapter overall GPA hit record high, Alex received President of the Year from the University for his work. With this devotion and vision, Alex has been a great addition to the alumni board.  Alex is currently a Social Studies Teacher at Michigan Connections Academy.


 

Martin Peltcs
Alumni Club Director

Martin Peltcs joined Phi Sigma Kappa in December 2006.  He went on to become Treasurer Vice President and finally President.  He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Distribution.  Martin has served on the Alumni Board since 2013.  Martin currently works in the Auto Finance industry.
