It's Christmas in October! It is time once again to gather for EMU's Homecoming. Homecoming is Saturday, October 12th. The Eagles will take on the Ball State Cardinals at 2:00 pm. The alumni tailgate will begin at 9:00 am in the parking lot across the street from the stadium. Look for the flag! The alumni club will provide food and games as we have in years past. Come on out and join us for a day of brotherhood. Friendly reminder: there are in fact still laws when drinkin' claws.
Annual Golf Outing Recap
The Alumni club hosted our yearly friends and family golf outing on August 3rd at Brae Burn Golf Club. Attendance continues to grow as this year was our biggest turn out ever! The winning team was: Nick Raubenolt, Geoff Bauer, Roon Moore, and Jason Raubenolt. We didn't have a picture of the winners so we had to settle for a picture of the best looking golfers. We also gave out tons of great prizes and Kim Shollack took home the 50/50 raffle. Thank you to all of our gracious sponsors that made this year's outing a success! We look forward to seeing you there next year!
Update: The Housing Search Continues and We Need Your Help!
As many of you know, our main goal over the last year has been to fundraise like crazy to acquire and own our chapter house. After looking at many houses and none were fits, a house came on the market and the Alumni Executive Board was very excited to move forward. This house had EVERYTHING! 5 Bedrooms; 3 bathrooms; ample parking and was close to campus!
After reviewing our financials though, it became apparent that we were nowhere close to where we needed to be to acquire a chapter house.
WHAT WE NEED
We have grown our corpus to a significant amount but we are still about $40,000 away from acquiring a house leaving enough money in the account to cover expenses, emergencies, etc.
If you have not donated, started to donate and stopped or would like to increase your donation, now is the time brothers! We also have set up a 501c3 if you are looking to make a sizable gift and need it to be tax deductible. Please reach out to Shawn Shivnen or Nick Raubenolt for more information.
Call for Alumni Board Nominations
The alumni board has a vacancy for a member at large. The board is responsible for conducting the business of the alumni club and panning all of our awesome events. Annual Alumni Club Meeting
The annual meeting of the Phi Sigma Kappa Epsilon Lambda Alumni Club will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Time and location are yet to be determined. Please stay tuned for more information.
